Cedar Creek Paddle

May 5, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This 5 mile stretch of Cedar Creek starts at the historic Covered Bridge Park, and we end up in downtown Cedarburg. This particular section is quite spectacular, and somewhat remote in the beginning – and civilization emerges as we pass the half way mark. The riverbanks along the grand majority of this 5 mile long paddle have a gentile incline and a pretty solid flora and fauna to gaze upon.

The water levels and current change throughout the year and could be either a good boat control challenge for the novice, or a gentile paddle in which brings joy to all.  Extreme heavy rainfall, or late lingering snow melts will increase the flow of this creek – thus increasing paddler level.  There are a few places on this stretch to get out and use the facilities, should the need arise. There is nothing like a relaxing country paddle.

We shall be on the water for about 3 to 3 1/2 hours (current dependent), after a bit of time on land going through a safety briefing, and getting to know your fellow paddlers. Historically, the weather may be in the low 50’s, but the water temperature still hovers in the upper 40’s. Please bring additional dry clothing with you – and as always, dress for the conditions.  Kayaks and gear are included in the price, however we require you notify us via the registration – should you need the gear.

Maximum participants 8.

Please also register for this to ensure there is availability.Cost $65.
