Moonlight Paddle Series

Hingham Mill Pond), Aug 11 (Mauthe Lake), Sept 10 (Waldo Mill Pond)

Time: Arrive 30 min before sunset (varies per date – around 8:30PM)

Join Silent Wake as we offer our moonlight paddle series. Kayaking under the light of a full moon has a different feel and offers a unique experience to individuals.  The locations we have chosen for this series are a safe paddle location – meaning, either no, or little to no boat traffic.

Details: Upon arrival, we will provide the kayak/gear/headlamps to you and get you fitted for them. If providing your own kayak and gear, please have all items offloaded and ready to go for launch time. We will provide an on-shore safety briefing prior to launch. All paddlers will don a white headlamp at all times while on the water, and have it powered on. The group will paddle together as a unit – do not paddle beyond the lead safety boater. Time on water will be nearly 2 hours.

Waubeka is having their Flag Day celebration all day, during the evening (and while we will be on the water) they will have fireworks. This will be a special treat for those who have a viewing from the kayak. We will paddle up river from Waubedonia Park to Waubeka, and return back to our cars after the light show.
