Mauthe Lake State Park Comprehensive Kayak Class

July 21, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$175
Evening kayaking

In partnership with the Mauthe Lake State Park and Wisconsin DNR, we are pleased to provide this month long kayaking class. This session will be held every Thursday evening in July at Mauthe Lake. Class times are from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. A total of 10 hours worth of training/experience!!

This four part class will incorporate three of our core kayaking classes: Kickstart, Essentials, and our Rescue classes. The format for this session will have both classroom and on-water portion, time will be split between the two. This is a flat water environment, with some local boat traffic and little obstructions/hazards. Once registered, participants will receive a class outline, and additional information via email.

Target audience for this class: Anyone interested in taking their kayaking to the next level, and those who wish to become more experienced through expert guidance and practice.

Based on the potential size of this group – we will have additional assistance from ACA trained paddlers. On the water, we will have break out sessions with small training pods of four participants to one instructor.

Use of your kayak/gear is encouraged, however should have built in safety features of bulkhead(s), and deck lines. This is extremely helpful during the rescue portion.  If uncertain if your kayak is suitable for this class, give us a call. Otherwise,  kayaks and gear required for this class will be complimentary of both Silent Wake and Wisconsin DNR.

Wisconsin State Parks sticker (or daily pass) will be required to enter. If needed you may purchase from the WDNR page.

Sessions are designed to build from one to the next. Attendance at all sessions is recommended. Please contact us with questions on this prior to registering. Class size limited to 16.

Cost $175 per/person
